The Nats-FAIL meme was a tired one because even when it wasn’t the team’s fault, they took the heat for it. That is what happens after back to back 100 loss seasons like the Washington Nationals did.
Now, things are better and even under-the-radar superstar Ryan Zimmerman has some exposure. Take this commercial for GEICO:
Even though I have only seen it a few times, I noticed the Caveman is leading off second, but winds up running to second, only to appear at third base at the end. What are we to believe, that the basepath magically changes the base Caveman is running to? Boy, I hope somebody got fired for that.
GEICO-FAIL!
P.S. Where is the Nyjer Morgan Easterns Motors commercial. I used to say that I won’t believe we really have a team until I see a player in one of those ads.
