Council Seeks to Revisit Stadium DealThe Post

“This is more about rhetoric, and it puts the stadium at risk. We are at the risk of reopening the wounds here, and to what purpose? For a silly piece of legislation?”

Phil Mendleson (D-At Large)

More council infighting, this time between Chairman Linda Cropp and Vincent Orange (Ward 5) over the ballpark. There is even some talk of putting it near RFK again, which is preferable to not building it at all, but has less potential for economic development. The Deutsche Bank plan, which Chris Needham detailed recently is in play too.

Owner approval to be fastThe Wash. Times
Once MLB selects Jeff Smulyan as owner of the Nats, they are saying they will speed up the normal process and make him official.
