Starting around 3 a.m. this morning, TypePad has been broken (MSNBC.com). This morning’s outage of Metroblogging DC (which uses Movable Type by the same parent company) may have been related, though I cannot be certain. A number of other blogs were down or not showing any content from this week, including those on usatoday.com and KnightRidder sites like centredaily.com.

I have been thinking of switching to TypePad, which comes with a fee, now — not so much. At least I am not paying money for a service interuption.

UPDATE: Metroblogging had a last-minute server migration and the outage was unrelated to TypePad’s problems.
