Mayor Williams Requests Delay on Lease Vote – The Post
Who would have foreseen this coming? Oh yeah, anyone.

Mayor Anthony A. Williams yesterday requested that the D.C. Council delay a vote on a critical stadium lease deal with Major League Baseball that was supposed to take place tomorrow so that technical changes can be made to the lease agreement.

“We continue to work aggressively to get assistance from the federal government, from private developers and from Major League Baseball to put together the best deal possible for the city’” Williams said in a written statement.

It just goes on and on.
