Nationals Sign Tucker, Retain Ayala – The Post
If you have been tossing and turning at night worried that Jim Bowden would not find another outfielder (like this one), you can rest easy. He has brought in Michael Tucker for the bench. Bowden says Tucker is an improvement, though his numbers last year were down.
P Bobby Ayala was signed for two years as well, avoiding arbitration. He has been good for over 60 appearances annually, but you may his arm was dragging about four feet behind him by September.
