Nats lose 7-1, but still take Padres series

Okay, this loss is on me. Earlier in the day I was writing in my mind this morning’s Washington Nationals post about how they “exposed” the San Diego Padres pitching rotation. That’s not exactly how it worked out, though it was 66.6% true, I guess. Roger Kahn warned us about doing that sort of thing in The Boys of Summer. Sorry I jinxed the sweep.

(Oh and for the record, I had not written a LeBron post in my head, Cleveland, so take your burning jerseys elsewhere. If I did though, it would have been in
Comic Sans
. Oh and Gilbert Arenas is available.)

The Padres dominated the Nats last night The Post, giving up four home runs, including one to Alexandria-born Padres pitcher Mat Latos (Nats Insider). Ouch. They offered little response, just a late Roger Bernadina run knocked in by Adam Dunn late in the game.
