If you are on a Washington Nationals distribution list, you probably got an email about Ryan Zimmerman‘s “A Night at The Park,” a fundraiser for his ziMS foundation. Zimmerman created the foundation in 2006 “to raise funds for the treatment and ultimate cure of MS.” The third baseman’s mother has MS and he wanted to use his “athletic ability and public exposure to help raise money and awareness so that other families may be spared the devastating affects of this disease.” It is wonderful that Zimmerman has started this foundation.
After I read the email, I saw clicked on “Ryan Zimmerman” in the closing of the email. As for 6:12 a.m. that clicked through to the player page for someone else — Stephen Strasburg. If word gets back to Zimmerman about the error, let’s hope he gives Strasburg a hard time about it and gets a bigger donation. Or is Strasburg who should be giving Zimmerman a hard time?
