D.C. Council Insists on Own Stadium Cost Cap – The Post
The city council does not think the cost cap that was agreed to by the mayor and MLB is strong enough and wants to create a new, tougher one. Linda Cropp is leading this charge, but what’s new? Due to this complication, it would need 9 votes to pass if it were voted on today.

EDITORIAL – A Ballpark Lease’s New Life – The Post
An editorial that seemingly was written before the latest development in the council. It praises those who have scrutinized the lease — Cropp, David A. Catania (I-At Large) and Adrian M. Fenty (D-Ward 4), arguing that should have been done during initial negoiations, not after the fact. In short, it says to the council, “vote yes” without acutally saying it.

Is it just me or is this headline not ideal for a straight news story? I think it might be a column, but there is no distinction in the way the article is presented online.
Anyway, the “G” word is used, though it takes a whole six paragraphs to get to it. If it was not a ballpark being built, it would be condos or an unisightly federal office building.
