Penn State selected to NIT, will host opener – CDT
After five years in the college basketball wilderness, the Penn State Men’s basketball team is on the outskirts of civilization with a berth in the NIT. The Lions enter the NIT with a #7 seed and a home game vs. Rutgers.

While they are in the same bracket, Penn State cannot face Maryland until the quarterfinals in New York at the Garden. I had a dream scenario where the Nits would beat the Terps at home and we could rush the court. Alas, it will have to wait for another year.
