The Matrix Group team worked closely with AWWA and WEF to understand the industry, why working in water is terrific, target audiences for working in water, and the important conversions for the website. We started with user personas, then moved to re-imagined content and user flows, a beautiful design, and more high impact content. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new website features profiles of various careers in water, explains how to get started, and links to resources and requirements for each state, since working in water treatment is a licensed profession. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Horizons Foundation<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Managed content strategists, designers, programmers and front end developers in the rebuild and rebrand of the static New Horizons Foundation web site into a WordPress digital library with an upgraded store. New Horizons Foundation works “to turn good ideas into solid research that will help give HVAC and sheet metal contractors a chance to grow as positive, knowledgeable partners in the construction process.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ScholarOne importer for Materials Research Society<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The technology used to import presentations into the MRS content management system (Sitefinity) was not importing the complete program for events and was not correctly scheduled. Since schedules change so often, especially in the weeks and days leading up to a meeting, MRS staff was eager to find a solution that would streamline their process, make updates easier, and in-turn provide attendees with a more timely and accurate schedule of events. To address this issue, MRS chose Matrix Group to redevelop the importer tool.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Internet Manager contracted to American Association for Clinical Chemistry<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In my role as Internet Manager, I provided day-to-day leadership of website projects. Working with teams from across the association and managing a junior webmaster, I ensured that aacc.org, iTunes and partner sites were up to date, I also collaborated with the applications team and vendor to ensure Sitecore hotfixes and other deployments were successful on an ad hoc and scheduled basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to my strategic and operational leadership, a significant deliverable was updating the mobile navigation. When I arrived at AACC, the mobile nav’s default was the main menu, a poor user experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I identified the requirements and created an enhancement request with AACC’s development vendor. The UX is improved with site visitors with nav local to the page instead of defaulting to the main nav. I also had “MENU” removed from the icon as it was redundant. I delivered the completed project on deadline during the critical annual meeting season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Content Management Lead supporting Consumer Financial Protection Bureau<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As content management lead, I provided comprehensive web content management of consumerfinance.gov in an Agile environment and provided functional guidance to a content management specialist. In this role, I worked with content strategists, editorial producers, publicists, developers and subject-matter experts to publish the bureau\u2019s press releases, speeches, blog posts and other site updates in Wagtail and WordPress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These links were all related to the same event, a field hearing on arbitration. I had to get this staged, reviewed and published – most of it concurrently. I set up a tracker in an email thread that was updated every time content was received, staged, published, etc. The tracker was sent out to stakeholders in editorial, external affairs, design, IT and the subject matter experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a team leader, I collaborated with editors, online managers and other stakeholders to showcase their content, including video, on the sites. Network\/partner content and social media was also integrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to being the web manager of the 10 MNCO sites, I was on the launch team for dozens of Gannett web sites, migrations and redesigns in the CMS, Saxotech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top module has the most recent stories, followed by a module from USAToday.com. Below that are keyword-powered modules for high school football, other high school sports and Ohio State Sports. I developed the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals modules to pull in content through the enterprise content management system from enquirer.com, another GannettDigital site. The branding, site analytics and ads (not show on archive.org) are all newarkadvocate.com. This model was used across the 10 sites I managed, though the northern-most sites did not have Cincinnati headlines, but Detroit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
