Livan Hernandez powers Washington Nationals past Atlanta Braves, 6-0<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i>

\nLast week I thought to myself that Liv\u00e1n Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> had not hit a home run since returning to the Washington Nationals. During his first run with the Nats, he hit 3 over 1.5 seasons which is pretty good for a pitcher.<\/p>\n

Last night \u00a1LIVAN! came through with the bat — a RBI double in the 2nd and a solo homer<\/strong><\/a> (nationals.com<\/em> video) in the 4th. He pitched 8 scoreless innings too. Just a great outing, one that earned him his 10th win of the season. He is the first D.C. pitcher to reach that mark since 2008 (Tim Redding) and probably the only one to do it twice in the team’s six seasons. He was due for a win after some poor outings of late.

\nAdam Dunn<\/strong> hit a monster homer as well — the Braves said it went 455 feet, but it went over a sign on the concourse that said 460.<\/p>\n

Ian Desmond<\/strong> also homered in the 9th.<\/p>\n
