Since I enrolled, I have only seen Penn State beat the Hawkeyes in person once (2007). In fact, the Nittany Lions have only beaten the Hawkeyes 3 times total in this span (1995, 1999, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yurasko.net\/wfy\/2007\/10\/jones-and-flouders-iowa-is-awful-austin-scott-wont-be-missed.html\"><strong>2007<\/strong><\/a>) with tight loses in 1996, 2000 (OT), 2002, 2004 (the infamous 6-4 game) (OT) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yurasko.net\/wfy\/2008\/11\/so-i-guess-i-have-to-write-something-about-saturdays-game.html\"><strong>2008<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yurasko.net\/wfy\/2009\/09\/iowa-21-penn-state-10.html\"><strong>2009<\/strong><\/a>. It has been just a brutal series for some reason. A <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.pennlive.com\/pennstatefootball\/2010\/10\/catharsis_penn_state_iowa_big_ten.html\"><strong>pennlive.com blog has all the grisly details since <strong>Kirk Ferentz<\/strong> took over from Hayden Fry<\/strong><\/a> in 2000.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t think Penn Staters are going to be happy Saturday night. As we saw last year, Iowa&#8217;s defensive line is dominant and as we&#8217;ve seen for a few season now, Penn State&#8217;s offensive line is not. I just don&#8217;t see Rob Bolden having much time to throw or Evan Royster having room to run.<\/p>\n<p>Iowa&#8217;s offense is solid with senior Ricky Stanzi at quarterback, especially since he cut his interceptions this season. Their running game is banged up though, but that is not specifically a weak spot. In fact the only weak spot is special teams which cost them at Arizona earlier this season. A special teams touchdown and a short field based on a good return, whether by turnover or in the kicking game, are the only ways I can see Penn State stealing a win.
