Lerner Expected To Get Nationals<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i>
MLB sources have told The Post<\/i> that Bud Selig<\/b> is now more determined to name the Lerners owners following a news conference by councilmen Marion Barry<\/b> and Vincent Orange<\/b> yesterday. They played the race card and accused the Lerners of “renting blacks for a day”<\/p>\n

When Selig and other baseball officials learned about the comments late yesterday, they were incensed and strengthened their resolve to back Lerner, according to the sources.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, they are going to sell the team to the Lerners out of spite? Sounds about right for MLB.<\/p>\n

I expect this kind of nonsense from Barry, but I am disappointed in Orange. Whether this helps Orange’s mayorial bid will be an interesting development.<\/p>\n
