For the Nationals, Unrivaled Results<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i>
Hooray, the Nats rebounded well from Friday night’s disaster to win the series over Baltimore. Yesterday’s victory was shocking, not so much because they won, but they way they did it — small ball. I do not believe the Nats have ever run the bases that well, stealing and executing the hit and run effectively. It was weird to watch, but ultimately quite satisfying. This is why I always wanted any DC team to be in the NL.<\/p>\n

On the mound, Livan Hernandez<\/b> was close to vintage \u00a1LIVAN!, giving up only one run over seven innings. He got his second win of the season, and his performance was largely promising. Hopefully, he is turning it around and working his way back to an upside-down exclamation point.<\/p>\n

After talking about the “Coaxial Cup” Loverro figures out how the Nats should handle their minor-league affiliations. Harrisburg is a barginning chip with in his eyes.<\/p>\n

  • All in all, a good series, particularly after the debacle of Friday night. Yesterday’s game was a joy to watch.\n
  • The Nats provided way too much aid and comfort to the enemy. I’m not saying they need to put up video of Mayflower moving vans, the Pride of Baltimore sinking, Jeffrey Maier<\/span> and William Donald Shafer’s<\/span> visit to McDonald’s but really enough with trying to make them feel at home. Next time, let’s not let Baltimore fans throw out the first pitch, sing the God Bless America or win “Fan of the Night.” We don’t do it for the Mets and Phillies, no need to do it for the O’s.\n
  • 90,000+ for the series. That’s good for this year, but next year this series needs to break 100,000.
