I did not attend this game or watch it live, however, I have thus far seen the first half, courtesy of dl004d<\/b><\/a>, who was kind enough to tape it for me. It proves to be a good test of my love of Penn State football, because I was able to watch a game despite knowning the final score and Mike Tomsczak providing color commentary.<\/p>\n In the end, the game provided little insight other than the Lions are fast in the skill positions.<\/p>\n They ran for 389 yards. Tony Hunt had over 100 of them. Even aganist a D-IAA team that is an impressive number. There is hope.<\/p>\n QB Anthony Morelli<\/span> was sloppy and Joe Paterno was annoyed. Hopefully it was an abberation (I think it was).<\/p>\n The defense held the Penguins in check for the first half and the second. Sadly, they could not register the shutout. Paul Pozluszny<\/span> played better and will be cleared to play without a knee brace by week 5, but don’t be surprised if it comes off next week in Columbus.<\/p>\n A missed field goal, an illegal block on a big punt return marred the overall improvement. Kevin Kelly’s kickoffs were rarely returnable. Things are looking up, but still not good enough.<\/p>\n Tony Hunt’s 100+ yards are a good sign, but Frosh A.J. Wallace<\/span> was provided the big 2nd quarter run that woke up the team, so he gets the honor.<\/p>\n Posluszny , in a new knee brace, gets the honor for eight tackles and a QB pressure that became an interception. Good to have you back Pos.<\/p>\n Patrick Weber (longsnapper) and Kevin Shuey (holder) share the honor for improving upon the dreadful Alford-Ganter combination.<\/p>\n
