I have posted about the FIVE GUYS vs. In-N-Out rivalry<\/a> previously, suggesting that the two hamburger chains are completely different things. Others do not share that point of view — one Californian even said he thought FIVE GUYS<\/a> was deliberately evoking In-N-Out<\/a> in its restaurant design, but concluded they were two different things<\/a>. Perhaps people are just nostalgic for the East Coast vs. West Coast hip-hop feud (without all the death*) of the 1990s. FIVE GUYS is from Northern Virginia and In-N-Out is from Southern California.<\/p>\n

A new development in the story comes from Aberdeen, Md. According to the Young & Hungry blog<\/a> on the CityPaper<\/em>‘s Web site (h\/t @jamiemottram<\/a> of Mr. Irrelevant<\/a>). Grab-N-Go is being sued by In-N-Out for trademark infringement. Grab-N-Go denies it and isn’t happy, even though their “Wild Style” is similar to In-N-Out’s Animal Style. Interestingly enough, Grab-N-Go seems to have similarities to FIVE GUYS as well. I may have to go check it out when I’m passing through that way.<\/p>\n
