Nats’ Soriano Files For Free Agency<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i>
LF Alfonso Soriano<\/span> is officially a free agent now. Nats president Stan Kasten is trying to soften the eventual blow:<\/p>\n

There’s certainly nothing certain about what will happen after this year, but we do love Alfonso and what he’s done for our team, what he means to our team, and what he means to our fans. And if there’s a way for us to keep him consistent with building a world championship, we’ll do that.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Soriano is going to ask for $18 million over 5 to 6 years. Who would be stupid enough to spend that on him?<\/p>\n
