The son of White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf<\/b>, who negotiated the deal to bring the Expos to D.C., is apparently part of one of the leading candidates to represent the Nats to the city. This is not the sort of thing that sounds good to a skeptical public and council.<\/p>\n

If Linda Cropp<\/b> can get a better deal, good for her. However, I hardly expect there to be any big announcement of a better deal. Apparently, she will not vote “no” when the council votes again, choosing to abstain if she does not get what she wants. That is something, but a yes vote would be really nice. Perhaps when she sees the pretty new uniforms next week, she will be swayed.<\/p>\n
