\nThe Washington Nationals sweeping anybody is great and when it is on the road against the Boston Red Sox, so much the better. Going into Fenway Park and serving notice to a nearly dynastic team (and bringing along a lot of fans) is a welcome change from the tough times of the last half decade.<\/p>\n

But let’s not get carried away, like say Thomas Boswell in The Post today<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Nats are certainly ascending, ahead of schedule perhaps. The Red Sox on the other hand, are on the decline after many years of contention — simply put they aren’t really good.<\/p>\n

Also, we’re about a day or two away from Twitter arguments about the best story in baseball, not even 40% through the whole season. We’ll know the best story in baseball in October.<\/p>\n

Don’t get me wrong, this weekend was a lot of fun and many are noticing like at the national level like @BattingStanceGuy<\/a> and Peter Gammons (via @BramESPN<\/a>),and of course, Young MC (more like MIDDLE-AGED MC<\/a>, AMIRITE?) but it is ONLY JUNE.<\/p>\n

The upcoming series with the Blue Jays in Toronto is a trap series. Any AL East team is tough and after an emotional series in Fenway Park, arriving in another country to play indoors on artificial turf could be a let down.<\/p>\n
