\nALEXANDRIA, Va. —<\/strong> Ever since the crushing storms of 2009-2010, Snowpocalypse<\/a> and Snowmageddon<\/a> BeltwayLand has been in a snow drought. Other than a nasty p.m. rush storm in 2011<\/a>, we’ve had nothing significant. Despite lots of meteorological hype this week for Snowquester, the trend has continued. It may have snowed all day yesterday, but it never got cold enough to build a significant snowpack in my Alexandria neighborhood. I was going to measure the snow every few hours<\/a>, but it would have been the same reading every time. Further west snow was heavier, but overall this storm brought white mud from the sky. I understand those in the District proper did not even get a thin blanket of snow, so no Dupont Circle snowball fight<\/a> (NBC Washington<\/em>).<\/p>\n

How much did it really snow?<\/a> – The Post<\/em><\/p>\n

Despite the applesauce like conditions, there was enough to build a snowman and get in some sledding. <\/p>\n
