Chico went seven and gave up only the two. That was good enough to keep them tied with Pittsburgh until the ninth when Jason Bay<\/span> homered<\/span><\/a> (The Wash. Times<\/span>) off of Chad Cordero<\/span>, ending the closer’s 12 inning scoreless streak<\/span><\/a> (The Free Lance-Star<\/span>). The Nats coulnd’t score in the bottom of the ninth, losing the game and the series.<\/p>\n

2B Felipe Lopez<\/span> was benched after he didn’t run out two ground balls.<\/p>\n

1B Dimitri Young’s<\/span> first inning homer was the scoring for that Nationals.<\/p>\n
