Since I left the Garden State for Northern Virginia right before I turned two, I didn&#8217;t get to really experience &#8220;trAction Park&#8221; though I remember the television commercials (&#8220;there&#8217;s no place in the world like Action Park!&#8221; from when I was visiting relatives and there was discussion of visiting it during my first few weeks of college. I did go to the successor park, Mountain Creek in 2003.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-dailymotion wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-dailymotion wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Most Insane Amusement Park Ever - Part 1 of 2\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/geo.dailymotion.com\/player.html?video=x13qzyv&#038;\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; web-share\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In short, Action Park&#8217;s history lends itself well to a black comedy or a horror movie. There were six deaths due to the poorly designed rides like an alpine slide (with graphic photographs at the top of kids injured on the ride) and attractions, not too mention frequent injuries. The actually had a water slide with a loop which was <em>never quite perfected<\/em>! A few things, like the water chutes that ended about about 12 feet above the water, a rope swing with a similar drop and a cliff dive were retained for Mountain Creek, at least when I was there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymotion.com\/video\/x13qzyv_the-most-insane-amusement-park-ever-part-1-of-2_tech\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>The Most Insane Amusement Park Ever &#8211; Part 1 of 2<\/strong><\/a> <i>by <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymotion.com\/insane-amusement-park\" target=\"_blank\">insane-amusement-park<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apparently, a great deal of the staff was drunk teenagers too.
