I was not aware, but am not surprised, that the Nationals organization has the lowest winning percentage in all of baseball according to today’s Thom Loverro column<\/span><\/a> in The Wash. Times<\/span>. Sure, they are not the worst in the majors (thank you Cincinnati), but when the minor leagues are included nobody does it better when it comes to losing. Should we be concerned? Sure, but remember the goal of the minor leagues is to develop players, not win. The people in Columbus, Harrisburg, Hagerstown, and Potomac might not agree with that completely though. Up in Vermont, they may be okay with the way things are going since the Lake Monsters have a winning record.<\/p>\n

The Nats head to Pittsburgh this weekend for a three game series. Few teams can match the host Pirates for losing over the last 15 years and the fans are rebelling by staging a walkout<\/span><\/a> (Post-Gazette<\/span>) during Saturday night’s game.<\/p>\n
