A trademark dispute may help solve the issue:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>But according to a decision by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office&#8217;s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the term &#8220;mumbo sauce&#8221;\u2014and perhaps the sweet, barbecue-like sauce itself\u2014is not a D.C. native, but was legally born in Chicago. The upshot: The Chicago-born Argia B&#8217;s Mumbo Sauce can keep its trademark, while the locally based Capital City Mumbo Sauce may have to find a new moniker.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Can&#8217;t help but notice but that&#8217;s a big road win for Chicago, since the Trademark Office is just outside of D.C. in Alexandria.<\/p>\n<p>Not familiar with mumbo\/mambo sauce?
