The Nats simply can’t hit these days. Last night they only got three off of Carlos Zambrano<\/span> (6.2 IP 3H 1R 1ER 3BB 8K) and five overall. Ryan Langerhans<\/span> double was the only extra base hit.<\/p>\n

Tim Redding<\/span> gave up three runs over 5 innings of work in his MLB return.<\/p>\n

Another One and Done For Nationals’ Offense<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i><\/p>\n

Nats still lacking support at plate<\/b><\/a> – The Wash. Times<\/i><\/p>\n

Austin Kearns<\/span> was benched<\/span><\/a> (The Post<\/span>) last night. One reason — his .185 career average vs. Zambrano<\/span><\/a> (The Wash. Times<\/span>), but the main reason was only 5 RBIs in the past month.<\/p>\n

GM Jim Bowden<\/span> is talking about signing some international players to motivate high draft picks to agree to contracts.<\/p>\n

Alfonso Soriano<\/span> is still getting booed by some people. I don’t get it.<\/p>\n

I’m pleased to see the Nationals have a home game on July 4 again. They should always play at home on July 4. So should the Yankees, Red Sox and Phillies. The Blue Jays should always play on the road.<\/p>\n

Today is George Washington bobblehead day<\/span><\/a>, but shouldn’t it be Thomas Jefferson<\/span>? That being said, if somebody has an extra, I’d gladly accept one. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
