Speaking of TV, in yesterday’s The Wash. Examiner<\/i>, Jim Williams<\/b> had a lot of information about what we could expect after a (bad) TV deal is made. Since it was from D.C.’s newest newspaper, they could not seemt to get it online, so here is what DCRTV<\/b><\/a> had to say:<\/p>\n

Names Named For Nats TV Coverage – 3\/21 – DC Examiner sports media columnist Jim Williams reports that Kenny Albert and Bill Sample are being mentioned as the local TV play-by-play team for the Nationals. When a local TV deal is finalized. We’re still waiting. Albert has DC media ties – he was the sports director of WTOP and the voice of Capitals (hockey) radio. Other Nats TV team possibilities include Mel Proctor, Dave Sims, Brian McRae, Rob Dibble, and even maybe Greg Gumbel. Williams adds that there is still no word about which local TV station will land the team, but there could be a split package, with some games on Channels 5 and 20, or Channels 50 and 66. Comcast SportsNet still looks like the likely local cable TV outlet…..<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I am pulling for Mel Proctor<\/b>, formerely of HTS. If I recall correctly, Angelo$ ran him out of town too. I could do without Kenny Albert<\/b> and Rob Dibble<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Looking Brighter for Day<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i>
P Zach Day<\/b> is now almost certain to be the fifth starter coming out of camp. Also, the Nats are scouting Wily Mo Pena<\/b> of the Reds. Jim Bowden<\/b> must be twitching by now, he has yet to make a trade in spring training.<\/p>\n
