#10 Penn State Nittany Lions 9 Michigan Wolverines 14<\/h2>\n

I might as well get this over with now:<\/p>\n

  • The first offensive series was what I feared it would be — two runs up the middle followed by an incomplete pass. That was pretty much the story of the afternoon. It indicated to me that the coaching staff wanted to play their style of footballl more than take advantage of Michigan’s allegedly weak pass defense. Did the coaches even watch Michigan game film. When Anthony Morelli<\/span> followed with a fumble that gave Michigan a short field to score on (they did) it was pretty much over. Michaigan’s defense pretty much decided they would win after that and never let up.\n
  • I don’t want to see any more of Austin Scott<\/span>. A fifth year senior shouldn’t have five fumbles in four games. He got lucky once and nearly lost another one. Inexcusable. It is time to see what Evan Royster<\/span> can do.\n
  • The defense was solid and the typical bend-don’t-break that has aggravated us for years. Michigan could be conservative and run Mike Hart<\/span> 40+ times because they knew Penn State couldn’t do anything on offense. What was his yards per carry, about 3.9? The pass defense was too soft though. Holding a team to 14 points should be enough for a victory.\n
  • Who was the most consistant performer yesterday? K Kevin Kelly<\/span>.\n
  • Why did only one ball get thrown to Chris Bell<\/span>? Is he a bad practice player or something? Or is he just young?\n
  • How many interceptions did Penn State almost get?\n
  • Despite this typical craptacular loss to Michigan, Penn State still has a lot to play for this season.\n
  • Sometimes, I hate it when my predictions come true.\n
