He was with a friend who had to run a quick errand at the dealership. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Bill, just stay in the car.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>By the time the friend returned, Dad was on a test drive. Now, 50 years later, my brother Christopher is showing &#8220;Tommy&#8221; at BOG for the fifth time. In 2017, the &#8220;Best Surivior Award&#8221; was won, though I&#8217;m not sure if it was for the car or the owner. Christopher has been an excellent steward of our dad&#8217;s beloved British Racing Green convertible.<\/p>\n<p><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/wfyurasko\/34842196961\/in\/datetaken\/lightbox\/\" title=\"Triumph TR250 convertible\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4203\/34842196961_3c8a7ef75a.jpg?resize=500%2C281&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" alt=\"Triumph TR250 convertible\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>While the collection of Triumphs on display would be enough of a reason to go, there will be Jaguars, Austin Healys, MGs and more. So whether you like roadsters, lovable project cars (hint all British cars are) or just the irony of British motorcars on the grounds of an early American patriot&#8217;s estate, Britain on the Green is a good time.
