It is a smaller and stand alone project. The rest of the repairs are more complicated with design in FY21 and build in FY22.&quot;<\/p>&mdash; Justin Wilson (@justindotnet) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/justindotnet\/status\/1297552627702562817?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 23, 2020<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The city <a href=\"https:\/\/jus.tia.mybluehost.me\/website_3c1e0e40\/2019\/10\/the-holmes-run-is-never-whole-bridge-out-near-duke-street.html\"><strong>closed that bridge in October 2019<\/strong><\/a> following a failed inspection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Longer waits for western portions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two other gaps will take longer to fix. Most notably, the gap that tunnels under Van Dorn Street and Interstate 395.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alexandria&#8217;s fiscal year begins July 1 annually. Since then, it seems like <a href=\"https:\/\/jus.tia.mybluehost.me\/website_3c1e0e40\/2019\/08\/the-holmes-run-trail-is-never-whole.html\"><strong>the Holmes Run Trail is never whol<\/strong>e<\/a>. The Fairfax County portion was disrupted by a sewer line break in 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More challenges<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now in the midst of pandemic, I am concerned the commitment to  restoration will be threatened. Local <s>civic<\/s> motorist associations have mobilized against bicycle infrastructure.
