Periodical cicada Brood X (10) will emerge in 15 states in 2021<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>– Cicada Mania <\/em>
The seventeen year cycle of Brood X cicadas is climaxing later this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Much of Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. can expect to see and hear the insects for about six weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Typically beginning in mid-May and ending in late June. These cicadas will begin to emerge approximately when the soil 8\u2033 beneath the ground reaches 64 degrees Fahrenheit<\/a>. A nice, warm rain will often trigger an emergence. Back in 2004, people began reporting emergences around May, 13th. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
