His approach is much different than his predecessor Mitchell Page<\/span>, who spent hours upon hours looking at video and working on mechanics. RF Austin Kearns<\/span> is probably happier than any other current National to be leaving RFK Stadium and its deep fences. Last season he hit .228 at home and .301 on the road. Much will be expected of him this season.<\/p>\n

Stop me if you have heard this one before — RHP John Patterson<\/span> and GM Jim Bowden<\/span> disagree on the proper approach to pitching. Patterson wants to focus on mechanics, while Bowden wants to him to work on his fastball to build arm strength.<\/p>\n
