There is a bit of a logjam in the middle infield with Cristian Guzman<\/span>, Felipe Lopez<\/span> and Ronnie Belliard<\/span> vying for the shortstop and second base jobs. Bret Boone<\/span> is also making his presence known with a .571 batting average. My guess — Guzman and Belliard are the starters at short and second, respectively.<\/p>\n

Team officials suggested that even if Estrada is hurt by the time Opening Night arrives they still want last year’s #2 Jesus Flores<\/span> in AA, but reserved the right to change their mind.<\/p>\n
