{"id":30341,"date":"2022-10-24T22:18:54","date_gmt":"2022-10-25T02:18:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yurasko.net\/wfy\/?p=30341"},"modified":"2022-10-24T22:18:54","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T02:18:54","slug":"see-chicago-from-up-high-for-less","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yurasko.net\/wfy\/2022\/10\/see-chicago-from-up-high-for-less\/","title":{"rendered":"See Chicago from up high for less"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u200bCHICAGO \u2014 <\/strong>The Signature Room (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.signatureroom.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>web site<\/strong><\/a>) is a great value for visitors wishing to see Chicagoland from 1,000 feet above street level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Located in the John Hancock Tower on the 94<sup>th<\/sup> and 95<sup>th<\/sup> floors, the Signature Room does not have a &#8220;cover charge.&#8221; Rather than paying $35 to $40 for admission to an observation deck, you can order a drink here for half that cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52449463301_fe33c1fc5e_b.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Looking west from the Signature Room in the John Hancock Tower<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I went with an Old Town Old Fashioned for about $18. My view was to the west and sunset over Chicagoland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 94<sup>th<\/sup> floor is a dining room and there is dress code. Gentlemen, remembered your collared shorts. A turtleneck and sports coat is probably sufficient.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 95<sup>th<\/sup> floor, where I sat does not have the strict dress code.
