It&#8217;s similar to the \u200b\u200b1980s Pepsi logo. The font is a little different and the blue is darker than back then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The incumbent &#8220;winking&#8221; Pepsi branding <a href=\"https:\/\/jus.tia.mybluehost.me\/website_3c1e0e40\/2009\/01\/pepsi-fixes-what-wasnt-broken.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>debuted in 2009<\/strong><\/a>. The incoming logo is more &#8220;traditional.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My take &#8211; while I like the minimalism of the 2009 branding, I didn&#8217;t like the logo as much. Returning to a &#8220;Pepsi ball&#8221; is an overall upgrade. That being said, the 2009 branding and 1991 &#8211; 2008 Pepsi ball would work for my design sensibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/money\/business\/2023\/03\/28\/new-pepsi-logo-cans\/11535642002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Pepsi unveils new logo: See the updated branding ahead of iconic cola&#8217;s 125th anniversar<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/money\/business\/2023\/03\/28\/new-pepsi-logo-cans\/11535642002\/\"><strong>y<\/strong><\/a> (<em>USA Today<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What about Pepsi Real Sugar?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Though is was not included in the collateral of the CNN article, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pepsi.com\/#!products\/pepsi-real-sugar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Pepsi made with Real Sugar<\/strong><\/a> is still on the current web site. From time to time, it becomes hard to find. It used to be called Pepsi Throwback and has gone through several liveries. If the product is retained and updated with the new branding, it&#8217;ll be the fifth different packaging in less than 15 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#004b93\"><strong>PREVIOUSLY: <a href=\"https:\/\/jus.tia.mybluehost.me\/website_3c1e0e40\/2022\/01\/pepsi-with-real-sugar-shortage.html\">Pepsi with real sugar shortage continues<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pepsi State?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most recent <a href=\"https:\/\/jus.tia.mybluehost.me\/website_3c1e0e40\/2022\/06\/penn-states-pepsi-deal-expires-june-30.html\"><strong>10 years-long Pepsi contract with Penn State expired last June<\/strong><\/a>. In February, <em>statecollege.com<\/em> reported <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statecollege.com\/articles\/psu-news\/penn-state-mulling-soft-drink-contract-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>it was renewed for one year<\/strong><\/a> and also noted a Coke truck driving through campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pepsi has had pouring rights at Penn State for over 30 years. The original deal drew the ire of Ralph Nader and Coke-loving Penn Staters ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not me though, I prefer Pepsi, especially if it&#8217;s the real sugar variety.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u200bPepsiCo announced that a new logo will be rolled out later this year (CNN).
