Every subsequent time since it happens. Following my week <a href=\"\/website_3c1e0e40\/tags\/the-jersey-shore\"><strong>down the Shore<\/strong><\/a> earlier in July, I decided to learn more about this account, described as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Honoring John Taylor\u2019s Gift<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Creation + Aggregation + Proliferation + Redistribution of Pork Roll propaganda.<br>Jersey by birth, Taylor by the grace of God.<br>Heat \u2018N Eat<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WFY: Who are you, where are you from and where do you live now?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LLJT: <\/strong>Matt &#8211; Central Jersey my whole life. Work takes me around the world but NJ is home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WFY: How long have you been running <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/longlivejohntaylor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@longlivejohntaylor<\/a>? What was it that got you to go from enjoying the product to &#8220;Honoring John Taylor\u2019s Gift&#8221; on instagram?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LLJT:<\/strong> Think it\u2019s going on 3.5 years or so. Was always meant to be for fun. Love the nuisance the stuff brings. Distinctly Jersey, and the rivalry is so much fun. We\u2019ll argue with each other all day but if someone from out of state says something, we\u2019ll unite instantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where else do you have that in todays world?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WFY: Okay, let&#8217;s just get it out of the way &#8211; do you say pork roll or Taylor ham? What is going on with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Ct9Aubnr_jG\/?igshid=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng%3D%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">that yellow box<\/a>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s Pork Roll but I get the heritage value in the OG Taylor Ham. Tradition I suppose.<br>The yellow box was an exclusive <a href=\"https:\/\/johnnyporkroll.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Johnny\u2019s in Red Bank<\/strong><\/a> had. Taylor provisions made it as a super limited thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hit up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CrQb5sYAPOg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>@porkrolltruck<\/strong><\/a> for the full scoop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WFY: How many times a week do you enjoy some heat &amp; eat?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LLJT: <\/strong>That\u2019s a great question. So many people think I eat it everyday\u00a0\ud83e\udd23. On average I would say once a week. <br><br>Depends on the hangover\ud83e\udd23.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WFY: What is your favorite cooking method and favorite pork roll recipe?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LLJT: <\/strong>Favorite is a PEC on a poppy seeded hard roll spk<br>Egg has to be moist.<br><br>That said my introduction to it was as a Child my grandmother used to pan fry it then put it into one of those old fashion sandwiches presses on white bread with nothing else.<br><br>That\u2019s still delicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WFY: Do you have a preference for cutting the slices i.e. Pac-Man, four notches, etc? I go with about eight because I grill them.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LLJT: <\/strong>Let\u2019s be clear I\u2019ll eat it anyway you slice it.<br><br>My preference is iron cross style. 4 cuts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WFY: When did the &#8220;approximately 8 slices&#8221; start? I didn&#8217;t see that until recently.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53084643938_946e659003_b.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LLJT: <\/strong>That\u2019s funny. \u00a0I never actually read that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Good question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WFY: What is the best beverage for pairing with pork roll? I think my go-to is <a href=\"https:\/\/jus.tia.mybluehost.me\/website_3c1e0e40\/2023\/07\/tan-limes-makes-the-case-for-my-jersey-shore-lunch-beer.html\">Cape May Brewing Co. Tan Limes beer<\/a>. What about sides, like potato chips? I don&#8217;t know of any Jersey chips.<\/strong><br><br><strong>LLJT: <\/strong>If nursing a hangover. Regular Coke. If not, ice tea. Home fries ON the sandwich is a game changer. (<em>Editor&#8217;s note<\/em>: I will have to try &#8211; I&#8217;ve been a fries on the burger guy since I was a kid, irrespective of any Pittsburgh traditions).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WFY: One year when I was at the North Wildwood ACME, I saw another brand, a Pennsylvania brand of pork roll. It was much cheaper, though I did not buy it. Would buying that be apostasy against the state of New Jersey?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LLJT: <\/strong>For sure! I also can not eat Case brand. In dire situations shop rite tangy will do. (I think that\u2019s made by case but has more taste)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WFY: What&#8217;s the best non-Taylor Jersey food? Tomatoes? Corn? Peaches? Sabrett?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LLJT: <\/strong>Bagels<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NJ has better bagels than NY anyday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WFY: Are you as amused as I am that Pennsylvania Dutch brand birch beer is from&#8230;Pennsauken?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LLJT: <\/strong>Did not know that.
