The Nats did not get good fielding, pitching and the hitting wasn’t clutch, so they feel to the forces of evil in Baltimore. Last year, they lost the first two of the Battle of the Beltways before storming back and winning the season series.<\/p>\n

RF Austin Kearns<\/span> was benched last night. He needs to get his act together, he is playing well below hi s abilities.<\/p>\n

The combined booth — announcers from both teams, a likely cost-cutting maneuver for MASN, was not as bad as I expected. It was very odd hearing Gary Thorne<\/span> and not Bill Clement<\/span> though.<\/p>\n

The real problem was the home plate camera was crooked. Could MASN be as incompetent for Baltimore broadcasts as it is for D.C.?<\/p>\n

The surprisingly solid rotation has kept the Nats afloat despite the surprisingly awful offense.<\/p>\n
