He was kind enough to provide some commentary:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>At this point, the history of the Silver Line has been marked by such tangles of planning, engineering, architecture, finance, and politics that it rivals in complexity the decision to build the original Metro system.   I am not going to write a book on the subject, but I hope someone else takes up the challenge.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Schrag wrote <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">The Great Society Subway<\/span> about Metro.
