How many years have we waited for this day? Finally, after so much waiting and so many disappointments, a team representing Washington will play a real major league game. <\/p>\n

I plan on being there with WWN<\/i> Associate Editor Fritz Hamme<\/b> and WWN<\/i> Ombudsman Matthew J. Clifford<\/b>. For those of you not there, the game is to be telecast on WDCA\/Channel 20 and MLB.com. Mel Proctor<\/b> and newly hired Ron Darling<\/b> will be calling the action.<\/p>\n

In the interest of time, I am going to run only headlines today. If I get home in time, I will get a photo album up this evening.<\/p>\n
