Nationals Get Stuck In the Mud<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i>
What a dreadful loss. The Nats had a shutout for a rain soaked 8 2\/3 innings, thanks largely in part to John Patterson<\/b>, who is the ace of the staff right now. However, in the 9th, Chad Cordero<\/b> loaded the bases, but got two outs. So, on a 2 – 0, he gets a ground ball to shortshop. Cristian Guzman<\/b> throws it away, two runs score and the Braves go on to win. It was awful. I don’t care who wet it was, this guy — who is being outhit by 3 pitchers on the staff, has to make the play because defense is the only reason he gets to play.<\/p>\n

To add insult to injury, I was on the phone with someone who likes the Braves at the time. D’oh! Hopefully, the Nats can recover tonight, in Queens vs. the Mets.<\/p>\n
