The magical spring day when we get to pretend it is the middle of football season is here. Sadly, the weather looks like it may be more along the lines of the middle of football season than spring, with rain forecasted. Nevertheless, Erica and I are going up and will be tailgating before and after the game. There are lots of other activities going on beside the game too (not to mention another the likelihood of another pregame protest). However, before we get into that, an astute Collegian<\/i> columnist asks the question that is on everybody’s mind:<\/p>\n
Who is the next Hefflefinger?<\/b><\/a> That is part of the fun of it all. I for one was disappointed that Hefflefinger never got to see more playing time. What a name! Or for that matter, the next Jay Paterno<\/b>, Matt Seneca<\/b>, or Kitna Palmer<\/b>? The spring game gives the Lions a chance to give the practice squad guys with no hope of ever seeing significant action, like the immortal Aric Hefflefinger<\/b>, a chance to have day of glory. <\/p>\n
