It would be a bit of a role reversal since <span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Manny Acta<\/span>, the incumbent Nationals manager, worked under Randolph with the Mets in 2006. Should this hiring happen, GM <span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Jim Bowden<\/span> would also have a potential successor to Acta. An article in the <span style=\"font-style:italic;\"><strike>NY Post<\/strike> Newsday<\/span> seems to be <a href=\"http:\/\/wevegotheart.com\/2008\/10\/15\/rumor-nats-interested-in-randolph\/\"><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">lobbying for Acta to be the Mets skipper<\/span><\/a> in 2010. Of course, an article suggesting that a member of a Washington sports team wants to go elsewhere <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypost.com\/seven\/11252007\/sports\/opt_out__alex_249480.htm?page=1\"><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">has never appeared before<\/span><\/a> in the <strike><span style=\"font-style:italic;\">NY Post<\/span><\/strike> New York newspaper, so we must up our alert level to High if not Severe.<\/p>\n<p>At the very least, I would find it very weird seeing Randolph in curly W and pinstripe-free uniform.
