Times<\/i><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Chad Cordero<\/span>, an original National, has filed for free agency rather than accept assignment to AAA Syracuse. The move was expected after <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Jim Bowden<\/span> blurted out on WTEM that Cordero&#8217;s contract would not be tendered. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yurasko.net\/wfy\/2008\/07\/another-reason-to-fire-jim-bowden.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Bowden lacked the professionalism<\/span><\/a> and good sense to share this information with Cordero before talking about it on the radio. Cordero, injured or not, deserved better treatment. Someday, he will be back for an Old Timers Day type event and get lots of cheers.
