From where I sit there are two reasons for this:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The Nats lost 102 games last year and can almost not help but get better. I expect that to happen and Acta to be renewed before June\n<li>If he is not renewed, a number of other teams, possibly the Mets, would be quite happy to have him in their dugout. Some might let him pick his own staff, too.<\/ol>\n<p>If I was forced to make decision on whether to give Acta a contract extension for 2010 or not right now, I would.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/website_3c1e0e40\/graphics\/technorati.gif\" border=\"0\">  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technorati.com\/tag\/WashingtonNationals\" rel=\"tag\">Washington Nationals<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technorati.com\/tag\/nats\" rel=\"tag\">Nats<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\">&copy;MMX William F.
