Times<\/i><br \/><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Shawn Hill<\/span> joins <span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">John Patterson<\/span> of former Nationals pitchers abruptly cut during spring training. Last year, Patterson was let go, seemingly out of the blue by the Nationals. Paterson got picked up by Texas, but retired after continuing arm troubles. Hill, who said he was fine after his recent, 1-inning, scoreless outing. The timing seems odd, even odder than the Patterson cut last year, but I have a feeling it is ultimately the right decision.
