The Nats scored a whole lot of runs for a change and came back after blowing a lead with a huge 8th inning rally after rattled reliever <b>Gary Majewski<\/b>, who had gone 16 innings without an earned run, gave up four runs in the eighth. Questionable calls behind the plate from the umpire contributed to Majewski&#8217;s tough inning.<\/p>\n<p>Offensively, the hero was C <b>Gary Bennett<\/b>, who had five RBIs for the night with a 2 run shot in the 2nd and a 3-run double in the 8th.<\/p>\n<p>Defensively, <b>Jose Guillen<\/b> made some great plays in right, including robbing <b>Brian Jordan<\/b> of a homer in the ninth.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, P <b>Esteban Loaiza<\/b> pitched pretty well and did not get the win. He left after six with a 3 &#8211; 2 lead. Closer <b>Chad Cordero<\/b> had an uncharacteristic 1-2-3 ninth inning, which included Guillen&#8217;s great catch at the fence.<\/p>\n<hr width=\"150\" size=\"1\" align=\"center\" noshade>More from <i>The Wash. How noble of her to back a publicly financed ballpark if it is a better deal for D.C. taxpayers. Didn&#8217;t she already do that by voting yes late last year? Times<\/i><br \/><b>Thom Loverro&#8217;s<\/b> tour of the Nats minor league parks stops in Harrisburg, home of the AA Senators. Not shockingly, one of the themes of the article is that Harrisburg may not be a Nats affiliate for long as they want to be AAA and the Orioles, just down I-83, want to be the ones who make it happen. I would like the Nats to be the ones who promote the Senators to AAA, if only to spite <b>Peter Angelo$<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>I have been on City Island, home of the Senators ballpark before, but never for a game.
