Don’t expect to see Stephen Strasburg on the mound anytime soon. The Nationals do not plan on rushing him up to Washington, instead saying they want him to work on pitching program at their spring training home in Viera, Fla. and then the Arizona Fall League. We’ll see if they stick to those plans.<\/p>\n

Ah, hyperbole! As for Strasburg, he is said to be embarrassed by the $50 million talk from his agent Scott Boras<\/span> and planned to sign all along.<\/p>\n

One baseball executive says the Nats could be good a year earlier than expected 2012 instead of 2013. Yes!<\/p>\n

Opening Day, 2011<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i>
A projected Opening Day 2011 lineup. It will be interesting to check back then and see how close it is to being accurate. This one doesn’t look like a pennant winner to me.<\/p>\n

Strasburg is one piece of many still needed. He looks to be a great piece. They still need a real middle infield and first baseman. They will need more outfielders too. We shall see, but the good news is the days of 100 loses and “Nats Fail” should be coming to an end.<\/p>\n
