He was the original Seattle Seahawks quarterback and his signature play in this early expansion years was the fake field goal. He was the holder and apparently scored on about 37 fake field goals in the late 1970s. Give or take a couple of dozen. I did not find the NFL Films video about Zorn, though I did find this piece of television excellence, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yurasko.net\/wfy\/2008\/01\/random-youtube-magic-abc-sunday-night.html\"><b>The ABC Sunday Night Movie<\/b><\/a>. This was also when I began my Redskins fandom <i>discernment<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>One of the disappointing parts about last season&#8217;s ultimate run to mediocrity is that Zorn failed to run his money play. I even emailed Dan Steinberg of DC Sports Bog about it last May when he was &#8220;looking for stuff to blog about.&#8221; I don&#8217;t think Steinz ever went into the fake field goals, but I have missed it.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I was really pleased yesterday when this happened:<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"480\" height=\"385\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/59CRaBcEKvU&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1&#038;rel=0&#038;color1=0xe1600f&#038;color2=0xfebd01\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><\/object><\/p>\n<p>In case the video gets pulled down, it is punter Hunter Smith, the holder, pulled up the ball and ran it in for a touchdown right before halftime. Huge play, well done Smith. The only way it could have been better was if it had been last year&#8217;s punter, Ryan Plackmeyer, perhaps the huskiest punter ever. I guess it would have been better too if it had led to a Redskins win. Anyway, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yurasko.net\/wfy\/2009\/09\/week-1-redskins-vs-giants-prediction.html\">my prediction<\/a> of Giants 20 Redskins 13 wasn&#8217;t too far off, as the final score was Giants 23 Redskins 17.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/website_3c1e0e40\/graphics\/technorati.gif\" border=\"0\">  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technorati.com\/tag\/WashingtonRedskins\" rel=\"tag\">Washington Redskins<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technorati.com\/tag\/NewYorkGiants\" rel=\"tag\">New York Giants<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technorati.com\/tag\/NFL\" rel=\"tag\">NFL<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technorati.com\/tag\/bushleague\" rel=\"tag\">bushleague<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\">&copy;MMX William F.
