DAVID JONES – <\/span>Ferentz, Iowa have had PSU’s number<\/b><\/a> – Patriot-News<\/i>
There are two programs in the Big Ten that have given Penn State more trouble than any other — Michigan and Iowa. As frusturating as it is, Michigan is more understandable than Iowa’s domination in the series. While it is often said that Kirk Ferentz owns Joe Paterno, Iowa’s success goes back farther. I believe they beat the Nittany Lions in Beaver Stadium in 1983. I was there in 1996 when they beat Penn State 21-20 on a cold, rainy day. Both of those games came during Hayden Fry<\/span>‘s watch.<\/p>\n

The Nittany Lions come in thin at linebacker with Sean Lee and Navarro Bowman both nursing leg injuries. Iowa has some injuries on offense too, but they have been tested in their non-conference schedule. It is going to be quite a Saturday night in Happy Valley I think.<\/p>\n
