Nats Rally, Dodge Their 100th Loss, For Now<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i>
Nats dodge century mark by rallying to win<\/b><\/a> – The Wash. Times<\/i>
Dodgers pitcher Chad Billingsley<\/span> kept the Nationals hitless through 5 2\/3 innings. He walked two in the sixth before serving up his first hit of the game — a three run homer by Ryan Zimmerman<\/span> (31 HR 100 RBI). That tied the game at 3. In the eighth, Elijah Dukes<\/span> hit into a fielder’s choice that scored Cristian Guzman<\/span>. Manager Jim Riggleman<\/span> sent closer Mike McDougal<\/span> out in the bottom of the inning with the lead. He faltered in the ninth and the Dodgers tied it back up. In the bottom of the ninth, Justin Maxwell<\/span> singled, took second on a sacrifice bunt and then stole third. Pete Orr<\/span> knocked him in on a ball that Andre Either dropped. Game over, Washington beats Los Angeles 5-4.<\/p>\n
