At Home, Nationals Still Sick<\/b><\/a> – The Post<\/i>
Deputy Editor Fritz Hamme<\/b> and I went to last night’s game with tickets from his company and boy were they nice. Section 211, row 2, between the visitors dugout and home plate. Good work, Fritz!<\/p>\n

The game was disappointing, the Dodgers hit four home runs, accounting for all of their scoring, while blasts by 1B Nick Johnson<\/b> and CF Brad Wilkerson<\/b> were just short. At least Wilkerson’s blast, to center, was dropped for a 2 RBI triple.<\/p>\n

P Esteban Loaiza<\/b> had an odd outing. He kept his pitch count low with only 83 pitches in seven innings and only gave up five hits. Unfortunately, three of those hits were homers. After watching the Dodgers crush them in batting practice, I was not surprised they hit some out during the game.<\/p>\n

In the eighth, the Nats had a two-run rally that kept things interesting and gave enough hope to keep a lot fans in the ballpark.<\/p>\n
